Anna Loosli is considered an artistic fashion designer who not only designs her creations but develops the pattern for the garments and constructs them as well, skills that comes natural to her. Born in Poland and has a BFA in Fashion Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Anna employs many types of the latest technological methods available in today's market such as Optitex 2D/3D and Clo3D in producing a number of collections and exploring new innovative creations focusing on deconstruction, alternative materials, sustainability and the freedom of creative expression with the environment in mind.
Loosli is defined by conceptual and avant-garde couture designs influenced by nature, architecture and a touch of Victorian and Gothic art, all brought to life by her skilled knowledge of construction and materials. Her designs are closer to pieces of art which just happen to be rendered in textiles, corsets, cages, repurposed fur and leather manipulations, often inspired by the likes of Iris van Herpen, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Alexander McQueen.
